In the spring of 2019 I sat along the coastline soaking in the beauty of a magnificent sunset. I was in awe by the wonder I was witnessing. With every passing minute new brush strokes lit up the sky like an artist carefully crafting a masterpiece. I could clearly see God’s handiwork on display, but I was struck by the unsettling reality that everyone else was missing it.

Leonardo De Vinci once famously observed that the average person...“Looks without seeing, listens without hearing, touches without feeling, [and] eats without tasting…”

As I observed all the other beach goers I felt burdened for those who were so preoccupied that they didn’t fully appreciate the beauty right before their eyes.

That reaction of wonderment is the same reaction God had when He looked at all he created and said, “it is good.” That sense of wonder is what our generation desperately needs to rediscover, and that’s the motivation behind Ozarks Riviera.
